It uses silica fiber with a 62.5/125μm core diameter and features a PVC or LSZH outer jacket, suitable for Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and other scenarios. Operating at wavelengths of 850nm and 1300nm, it offers corresponding bandwidths of 200MHz·km and 500MHz·km, supporting 275-meter transmission in Gigabit Ethernet and 33 meters in 10G Ethernet, meeting the needs of short-distance links in enterprise LANs, campus networks, etc. Though its performance lags behind newer fibers like OM2/OM3, its cost-effectiveness and compatibility keep it widely used in legacy system upgrades or budget-constrained projects.The jumper supports connectors such as LC, SC, ST, and FC, utilizing precision zirconia ferrules with UPC polishing, achieving insertion loss ≤0.3dB and return loss ≥30dB.
